2019 Cape Breton Pride Parade

Are you ready for the biggest parade on Cape Breton Island? This year we are celebrating YOU. Everybody should be proud to be themselves; no matter sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, race, age, ability, or beliefs spread love and show the world that you are #PROUDTOBE YOU!

The Parade route starts again this year on Dorchester Street in Sydney, then along the Esplanade, onto Townsend Street, along George Street, and will finish down Ferry Street leading into the Pride Party in the Park at Open Hearth Park.

This year, one of our presenting sponsor, Sydney Credit Union is offering their property as our accessibility area. The parking lot will be marked off for accessible and priority seating and the Credit Union building will be used as a quiet space for individuals who are sensitive to noise and large crowds. Pride Parade volunteers as well as Credit Union staff will be on hand to facilitate.
